I make custom forks with two integrated arms for mounting racks, bags, or baskets (designed with the Wald 157 and 1392 in mind). The design aims to be minimal by providing what's needed and nothing that's not.
The integrated arms, blades, and steerer are all joined at the front and back of a beefy bisecting tube for a strong, stiff joint. It's like a twin plate fork construction in 360 degrees. Struts aren't necessary, but mounting points for them are there if desired.
I originally started making cargo forks to answer the question: how can customization make the biggest impact in the most accessible way? A fork's axle-to-crown measurement changes the steering angle and how a bike handles; this measurement is made to order on each Fourk.
The integrated mount arms add increased carrying capacity. When designed for a 20" wheel, it can transform a bike into a mini-cargo.
My mission is to get people riding more. If I can make a rider's existing bike work better for them, whether for handling, getting groceries, or carrying camping gear, I'm more than happy to do that.
